Got up pretty early this morning because I slept early than usual hahaha I got up and left to get some breakfast before heading to Biei. The weather seemed uncooperative so I took my chance anyway.
After having a nice Curry for breakfast , I headed down to the station to get the train for Biei. Got myself 2 coffee cans along the way. Man, theses cans are so gooood, hahaha but I know I can't have too much of it...
I arrived at Biei and it started to rain a little bit but it wasn't that bad; at least I had my sweater on just to cover myself up a little longer before getting drenched. Note: had a sweater but went with shorts 😂😂😂
So I decided to head down to go see Ken & Mery tree, famous for a tv show but i don't even know that show, it's just that around there there was supposed to be a nice garden of flowers and also of Poplar trees.
Those views of the flowers and trees and their srrangement were beautiful but I had to go to Furano still so I made my way back to the station to go check at what time the train was going to pass when suddenly the rain went from light to sort of medium...that was my signal to speed up the pace because I was risking taking a shower. After 30-40 min of walking, I was getting close to the station (1-2 km) when the shit hit the fan 😂 It started to poyr so I had to jog/run to the station although I was already wet. I started running but then I couldn't spot the station and that was because I was running on a parallel street....at that point I walked because the rain had calmed down. I got to the station but seeing my present state I just told myself that maybe Biei was good enough hahaha so I went back to Asahikawa.
Beside Asahikawa station, there was a mall and it had picked my interest so I went in to have a look and also to let the rain calm down a bit. At some point, I had to get some food so might as well go eat there, they usually have good restos in the malls here.
After walking around and eating, (I had Hokkaido milk it's[ great, creamy taste and no thickening of the saliva as it happens in Montreal] with a lemon bread or cake and for lunch I went for some nice meat) I went back out and look who I see...the freakin sun lol So I head down on Heiwa Dori which is around 15 streets of shops, food stalls, etc and this week was Designer week so there were many stalls of different things. At the end of it, I went for some nice soft ice cream, it was made with natural ingredients and no additive so the taste was completely different and you felt that it was actually made out of milk/cream only and not super sweet, just enough, amazing I must say. It was from Asahikawa cheese shop. After that I went back to the Guesthouse for some rest.
Finally, as I was about to go to a random bar, a young lady by the name of Yumi entered the guesthouse, she was to meet with friends in it but I had the chance to talk to her and then her friend came in, Mio and Izakawa who invited me to go eat out with one of my roommate there, Kyu-san. So we went to this cute little family restaurant and we had stomach meat on a sort of grill and beer, of course 😉 Yumi's boyfriend joined us at the restaurant, Kenta, and we were all able to know more about each other.
After that we headed back to the guesthouse and bought beer along the way ( there is no time limit to buy alcohol here 😂😂😂) to enjoy a nice conversation until my new made friends had to leave. Such a memorable event, to be able to connect with people from different parts of the world and talk with them as if they were friends for years. I will for sure not forget this !
