In the train, I met Mr. Takasa who was very kind to me. Our conversation started because I was close to getting off and he was about to eat and I had a window seat, didn't want to disturb him in the middle of his meal. He was nice to give me some snacks just like that. I thanked him and as my stop came, I had to leave. That was really kind of him 😃
At Toya station, I had to take a bus and a lady sat beside me because she was curious where I came from and she gave me candy to enjoy 😂. Finally, I got to my hotel and dropped off my bag before heading to Showashinzan/Mount Usu.
After the hotel, I made my way to Showashinzan. I had to cross the town plus another 4-5km. The last kilometer was all going uphill, little did I know... I forgot to mention that at the hotel I met this group of ladies which you can see in the picture of the bus. I sort of helped em out at the hotel, they told me they were from Thailand and asking if had been there, answering no but I think it should be somewhere to visit at some point XD.
I took the ropeway to the top of mount Usu and from there I was able to get a nice view of everything around. Just incredible the view and energy it emanates. The pictures do not make it justice, I tell you ☺
Like always, I had too much fun that I didn't check for the bus back into town haha so I had to take a cab back into town. It's pretty expensive or I walked a lot...It cost me 2010yen meh..
I told the taxi driver to drop me off at the onsen which was my next destination of the day. It was truly an amazing experience. Inside the onsen, a group of people started talking to me and they were from Hokkaido. It seemed like a cycling team where the coach /sensei was with young ones (around 20s) and they had snuck in beer and was able to endulge myself to 2glasses hahaha it was a great moment. Cycling culture rocks I say.
As the day advanced, my phone was dying so I took pictures with my iPhone. The last part of the day included Hanabi (fireworks ) and walking back alone in the dark, back to the hotel, pitch black haha. To be updated back home ;)
